The Nature of Seeing: An Evening of Conversation & Supper

This October, we're returning to Shimpling Park Farm for a special evening with acclaimed naturalist and author Mark Cocker, celebrating the publication of his new book, The Nature of Seeing.

We'll gather in the farm's beautiful brick barns where John Pawsey will host an intimate conversation with Mark. Together they'll explore the ideas behind Mark's latest work, reflecting on how we experience the natural world, the importance of paying attention to place, and the relationship between farming, wildlife and landscape.

Drawing on Mark's remarkable career as one of Britain's leading nature writers, alongside John's decades of farming organically in Suffolk, the discussion promises to be thoughtful, inspiring and deeply rooted in the landscape that surrounds us.

Following the conversation, we'll gather around the table for a seasonal supper inspired by the farm and the surrounding Suffolk countryside. Expect thoughtfully cooked, seasonal dishes showcasing the very best produce from Shimpling Park Farm and some of our favourite local producers. Full menu to follow.

There will also be the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of The Nature of Seeing and continue the conversation over supper.
